What's Up, Y'all?!?!?!

Sheaffer Told Me To What's Up Wednesday

-What we are eating-
Disclaimer:  I'm not a "keto" kid but I do eat low carb.

Last week I ordered this cookbook because I need to cut my carbs a little more than I was doing (please see the term "fell off wagon") and this book seriously caught my attention.  The meals are simple and very easy without really having to run to the store to purchase "extra" items.  This week we have had chicken enchiladas, bacon cheeseburger casserole, and tonight is carnitas! #founditonamazon

-Reminiscing-
I always leave this one blank but this month...I did.  Just this past Sunday at the dinner table I started reminiscing about my late Mammaw.  My kids didn't have the opportunity to meet her (but I like to think she held them before I did) and on Sunday my son started talking about grandmas and I told him all about her.  They would have been true buddies. I wish I had photos.

-Loving-
Bye February!  March is just around the corner and I love me some March.  So, yes, I'm loving this slow transition to my favorite time of year!
Joe's USA Koloa Ladies Colorful Tie-Dye V-Neck Tees in 10 Colors Sizes: XS-4XL
I am also loving some tye dye and I really have no clue why.  Because I'm a poet that didn't know it obviously.

-What we have been up to-
Spin class (me)
Track (big kid)
Nintendo (little kid)
Taking apart and putting together everything in site (hubby)

-What I'm dreading-
99% Happy For You - C5000 – People I've Loved

Y'all....my boss put in her notice.  I'm so desperately sad and ready to find my greener pasture now too!  I have had the best boss ever and no one can stack up to her.  I am going to miss her terribly.

-What I'm working on-
Still just working on my health :)  I imagine I will pick up some projects as the mercury rises and as I find time between soccer, softball, and track meets!

-What I'm excited about-
BEACH :)

-What I'm watching/reading-
Last weekend, The Real Housewives of Atlanta shut down Caribana and proved that Canada is the impromptu girls trip you didn't know you neede

And you know we fell victim (in love) with Navarro Cheer this month on Netflix!

Books...I need some suggestions.  I'm ready to read for fun again!

-What I'm listening to-
Podcasts and all my favorite jams from college!
I recently subscribed to these podcasts:
*Yoga Girl
*I Hate Green Beans

-What I'm wearing-
Ask me next month but until then here's some stuff I'm thinking about!

-What we're doing this weekend-
Spin Classes at Niles Family Fitness Center

It's supposed to be freezing again so after workouts I'm not sure I will do much at all the rest of the weekend!  That's OK with me :)

-What I'm looking forward to next month-
March is the best!  Our anniversary, daylight savings time begins, and SPRING!  Not to mention softball and soccer start up.  I love March!

Come back Friday when I have more to share for the last Friday of the month!

Friday 5

This has been a crazy week.  And today I'm starting it by waking up at 4 to go to work.  When I say four I mean the a.m. version and not the p.m. version.

Ewww!

Ok what pulled me through this week...

12 Trumpet Daffodil Improved King Alfred (Pack of 12 Bulbs) Perennial, Deer Resistant, Zones:4-9
Actual footage of whats going on at the first of February in my part of the world.  Generally, these babies bloom at the end of February here.  I'm not complaining!  The Forsythia was blooming last month - that's crazy!

Spring temperatures and sunshine!  We had it for a mere two days.  Then the temps stayed up but the rain came back with affliction!  The weather was so crazy yesterday the school system let the kids leave two hours early. *Thus my Friday beginning so early!*

"Spin Sweat Repeat!!" by Lady Spinning Running on Mixcloud

My spin sisters!  If you aren't soppy wet with sweat when you're working out then are you really working out?  I love my spin time with Amanda 2, Misty, and Nicole!  This week we had the pleasure of enjoying a favorite instructor, Sherrie, away from the gym and on the cycle!

Oh hey new hair!  My girl, Lizzie, cut my hair off, put the blonde back in, and I feel 10000000% better.  That girl is a magic worker.

I can never get a serious smile from him in pictures...

Can I brag on my husband?  Sure, I can!  He's been the most supportive guy in the whole world this week.  I have been contemplating (and maybe initiating) a lot of little changes that can lead to big ones and he's been totally supportive.  I wish everyone could have a spouse that is a cheerleader.

Anyone else itching to get away?  I may have booked something this week...may have...<wink>!

Now lets get through this work day, try to nap, and maybe go out tonight.  Oh my gah do I think I'm 22 again???

Sunday Shenanigans!

READ this:
Today's high is 61
Tomorrow's high is 71
The Lord is good.

Then I read a few comments and now I am posting again.

Request #1:
Meal Plan

Today is Super Bowl Sunday.
I do not have a dog in the fight.  If you make me root for a red it is San Francisco.  Sorry to the KC fans.
In honor of Super Bowl Sunday I'm making Buffalo Wings.

Instant Pot Buffalo Wings
Use this recipe from jenuinehome.com!

I make my wings in the Instant Pot then transfer to the broiler.
I have an air fryer.
I should use it.
Noted.

Tomorrow is Monday and it's going to be 71 degrees and sunny.
I'm grilling.
We're having burgers!

These Garden Onion Burgers are no ordinary plain patties– they have the flavor of onion dip and the juiciness of a good burger. #burgerrecipes #beefrecipes #grilling #grillingrecipes #wholefully

I try to cut carbs so my burger will actually be a hamburger salad.

Tuesday is for shrimp.
I don't know why exactly but we're having another eMeals selection.

Wednesday
I'm trying a new pork roast.  It's all natural and yes I laugh when I hear pork and all natural.  Nothing against you swine farmers, I love you guys, NC rocks, but something just makes me laugh about natural and bacon.
I will share more of this later.

Thursday
Leftovers

Yesterday was my off day from exercise.
Today I get back on the bike.
Generally, Sunday is my rest day.
*RPM with my girls!

I picked up Things You Save in a Fire from the library early in the week and I would like to start reading it.
*Read

Goals for the week ahead:

Cycle x5
Transcripts sent
Taxes to accountant
Read the book

And finally....

This is what has been getting me through lately and its my anthem for 2020

February #goals

Yippppeeeee January is OVER!  I have never been a big fan of that month.  Don't get me wrong - I'm glad we have it and I see it and I live it but as far as favorites go...nope.

Just some cool wallpapers, of various categories, colors , themes and… #random # Random # amreading # books # wattpad

Our January ended with me being home from work (sick kid) and snow falling like mad.  Luckily. the dandruff of the sky didn't last and melted on impact.  I am not a winter girl and shall never be a winter girl.

February is one step closer to spring, baby!

***

I set out last night to get some tulips.  You know the nice little potted ones they put out for Valentine's Day?  As I was walking through the store I decided it probably wouldn't be a great idea since my young cat would more than likely destroy them.

<3

I opted for a new tube of mascara.

***

Have you watched Cheer on Netflix?  I haven't ever been into cheerleader or gymnastics but after hearing about this show/docuseries/soapy feeling MTV show from the early 2000's on The Popcast with Knox & Jamie I decided to check it out.

Want to Keep Up With the Stars of Netflix's Cheer on Social Media? Here's a Handy List

I got sucked in.

Just like I did with the Aaron Hernandez docuseries.

Not that I'm saying cheerleader and Aaron Hernandez are a like but....head injury is real.

I am picking words for each month this year.  My words for February are:  cycle and future.

Spin bike workout rpm 70 Ideas #bike

My goal is 15 cycle classes this month and as far as future goes lets just say there's a lot of App State in my face right now.  I will tell you more at some point this year.

But my word for today is HAIR.

Yes, it is hair chair day and I'm thrilled.

Bangs are back in for 2020 and I'm thinking its time for bangs again in my life.  The real ones not the ones you cannot see.

***

The Super Bowl is tomorrow.

I like Tom Brady.

***

And now I must awaken my young adolescents from their slumber.  One has to return to her palace while the other has softball conditioning to spend the morning at.  Oh to be twelve again...

I had bangs then too.  Hmm...

And I cycled a lot too... up and down my street.

My things haven't changed.
